Hide the cursor
Hide the pointer for the whole video, when it sits still, while you type, or in the parts you choose. It can also end where it started, for GIFs that loop.

Hide it for the whole video
Open the Cursor tab in the inspector on the right and pick the Hidden style. Click effects still show, so set Click effect to None if you don’t want those either. iPhone and iPad recordings start with the cursor hidden.
Hide it when it stops moving
Hide when idle is on for new projects. The cursor fades out once it stops moving, and comes back when it moves again. Idle delay sets how long it waits first, from 0.5 to 8 seconds.
Hide it while you type
Switch on Hide while typing and the cursor fades out as you type, so it doesn’t sit on top of your text. It comes back when you move the mouse. New recordings have it on.
Hide it in some parts
- Move the playhead to where the cursor should disappear.
- Under Hide cursor in sections, press Hide cursor from playhead (3s).
The cursor is hidden for the next three seconds. For a longer stretch, move the playhead on and press the button again. Each hidden section is listed with its times; click ⓧ to remove one.
Loop cursor position for GIFs
Switch on Loop cursor position and the cursor moves back to where it started by the end of the video, so a looping GIF doesn’t jump. While it’s on, the cursor no longer hides when idle. See Export a GIF.
